Do you recommend having somebody who could front you the money to start out or should I save money prior to beginning.

I highly suggest having some funds if you are just starting out. You definitely have the option to get your deal funded through HouseAcademy Deal Funding but personally speaking I would have some funds to use towards marketing the property or any other costs apart from the purchase price that may come up.
